  Misquotes, Lies and deception in Watchtower Publications

  i have just finished an article misquotes, deception and lies and would like your comments, proof reading, and any other examples that you think are important to add.

  most of these already appear on jwfacts.com within specific articles, but it is more powerful seeing them included together.

  there have also been a number of requests over the years for such a collection.

  wait for it...the day when a non anointed will be on the Governing Body

  i believe that one of the next big doctrine changes will be that the non annointed can be on the gb (and eventually the whole gb will be non annointed).. now that they have slipped through that they are all domestics (the "idea" that jeffery jackson loves so) the current gb are also "domestics" when not meeting as the gb, just as the rest of the rank and file and other annointed are.. not hard to see how they can now bring in any "domestic'' annointed or not to be on the gb.

  once one is in, they can bring in more as they swap over.. stand by for more new light from the celestial chariot.... they would not have made so much of the whole ''domestic'' thing just because jackson had the happies for it, there will be a reason behind the manourver i am sure.

  i can't see it as essential to the change of fds from the remnant to the 8. that they could have just stated and it would have been accepted without question.

  Are they still saying some of the anointed will be alive when the Big A arrives?

  The total 144k must have been reached by now and unless they "close the gates" at some point will be massively over subscribed if it hasn't been already.

  To continue they could have alll the anointed ascended and only the R & F left on earth and that would give them enough time for the current GB members to end their days in comfort.

  the year once 1983 and the brother who use to study the bible with me drove by and had a full on "charles manson" looking facial hair and beard.

  i asked tina, a friend what's up with him?

  tina was 19 and a hot red-head woman who was partially in the religion but had problems with fornication.

  We had a local needs talk once on outlandish fashion which included men shaving their heads or gelling it into spikes, women cutting their hair too short or having over-long ornately decorated finger nails and un-natural coloured hair.

  I was not happy. I can't have my hair pink or green but Grannies at the front can have theirs any shades of lilac through to blue?

  i heard very few if any, of the new members on the governing body actually go out in field service more than three hours a month.

  is there a reason why the governing body would excuse themselves from the master's commandments?

  jesus christ never said "spending time writing rules and regulations" was part of matthew 28. .

  Messing about in photobucket I enhanced the contrast between light and shade and got this. Lots of light and shade on one guy and so little on old Sam I would suggest the photo was taken indoors.

  Apart from he odd way part of Sam's face is missing and the odd angle of the other guy's trouser leg and the mis-matching fence panels in the background there is a strange darkness about the gap between Sam's empty hand compared to the arm with the briefcase in it.

  Flood Story in every Culture?

  ok im looking for a specific religion and culture that has no flood story.

  someone claimed that every religion/culture has a flood story.

  i disagree but i want to have a reference..

  Hmmm.... Too bad the WT won't list all the cultures that have a "Jesus" story. Some guy is born of a virgin, dies, is resurrected 3 days later and claims some sort of divinity which everyone fights about for the next 5,000 years.

  Does such a list exist?

  hi guys,.

  i am so out of touch with tv shows and i have got a lot of catching up to do.. some-one suggested dexter and it was fantastic and what an ending.

  I was searching for 2 weeks for films or a series since Dexter and Homeland finished and apart from a film version of Great Expectations which isn't out yet there was nothing since Les Miserables.

  I am certainly into Revolution already.

  I love The Big Bang Theory. Season 6 has just started over here in UK.

  The Newsroom has rave reviews so will definitely give that a go too.

  Downton Abbey is good I agree. We seem to be lacking anything gritty or with suspense like Dexter and Homeland type shows over here unless I just haven't come across them.

  I tend not to read fiction but I still enjoy a good book.

  I am almost halfway through "Bad Science" by Ben Goldacre where he dismantles the dodgy science (bullsh*t) behind some of the great drug trials, court cases and missed opportunities of our time.

  He slates "self apponted nutritionists" like Gillian McKeith exposing her sham "qualifications" and discusses amongst other things homeopathy trials and the placebo effect.

  Totally fascinating book which will help you discover how to question every new "miracle break through in medicine"!

  hello, so i have decided to da myself and will write a da letter to the body of elders.... do you have any ideas of what i can include in this letter or samples?...

  i really want to make a huge impact with this letter.. i appreciate your help everyone....

  I would say write it and vent. Pour out all your anger and frustrations then leave it a while. Do not send it until you have re-read and edited it and then after you have done that lock it away for a while and see how you feel in a few months.

  You have nothing to lose by waiting by which time you will be in a better frame of mind to decide then whether to send it, burn it or just keep it a bit longer, but once it is sent, it cannot be un-sent.
